physiological birth turned cesarean (Breech)
If you’re reading this, all you need to know is yes, you should definitely book Charlotte and the sooner the better.
Beside from being a genuinely lovely person, she is absolutely an invaluable person to have around during pregnancy, birth and postpartum and probably beyond that!
Firstly, she is so obviously so passionate about this whole world which just oozes from her and is so refreshing to see someone so dedicated to a cause and loving their work. Her service is unbelievable value, there is nothing even close to what she offers, it doesn’t matter that it’s virtual.
She’s always responsive and really she’s the one who checks up on me and asks me how things are going and gives prompts, I love that about her! Sometimes you need to nudge, especially if you’re having a hard time. She is extremely knowledgeable on every topic and was so helpful in guiding me through birth plans, navigating hospital guidelines, how to advocate, giving me the information I needed to be armed with facts to make my own informed decisions. She never once pushed her narrative on me and was non judgmental.
Specific to me, she guided me through hospital appointments, a breech baby, grief during my pregnancy, the birth itself, birth planning, unexpected disability, breastfeeding, sleep and recovery to name a fraction of her superpower knowledge! She has really been on the journey with me and me and my husband will always hold the time spent being under Charlottes wing close to our hearts.
Most importantly, I had a birth I feel so positive about and Charlotte played a massive role in that.
Count yourself lucky you have found her. We certainly are!
Thank you for everything ❤️
Birth-Boost
Previous trauma
gestational Diabetes
'I had been stalking a few doula pages but felt it was a cost I sadly couldn’t quite justify with statutory maternity pay pending, particularly as I was nearing the end of my pregnancy before I found the smart doulas page, which being virtual, was a concept that worked perfectly for me. After liking many of her posts which were completely in line with the aspirations I had for my upcoming birth, I took the plunge and got in touch. Charlotte is very approachable, and I felt at ease opening up to her right away. We covered my previous birth and settled past traumas which allowed me to move forward with what was becoming a similar second pregnancy until I sought her help. Charlotte is knowledgeable and very resourceful when it comes to providing you with the information you need to make informed decisions. I was diagnosed with both hypertension and gestational diabetes and was being led down a path of a repeated consultant led intervention heavy birth which absolutely terrified me and left me with many regrets previously. When things were taking a nasty turn and I felt all control was being taken from me regarding my birth preferences again, Charlotte filled me with the confidence I needed and educated me further on my diagnosis allowing me to advocate for myself, which resulted in me having the most positive and empowering natural water birth in a birth centre despite being told “this wouldn’t be allowed”. I will be forever grateful for her help throughout my final weeks and post pregnancy and can’t recommend her enough! It was a fight that she thoroughly had my back for, and I won it! I now have a positive birth story to forever reflect on, and without her services I simply wouldn’t be able to say that. Thank you so much X.'
