What is a Virtual Birth Doula?

I am a Virtual Birth Doula in Leeds, providing bespoke evidence-based support to families who want pregnancy support and an empowering birth around the country.

​​My main purpose as your virtual birth keeper is to help you make informed decisions about your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

I will help you to navigate the guidelines you may come up against including NICE guidelines, RCOG and trust specific guidelines.

A little note from your virtual Birth Doula..
You are here because you know you want and deserve more support in pregnancy and birth than you are currently getting.
Your instincts are right!
Evidence has shown that continuity of care (being supported by the same person in pregnancy and birth) improves both the outcomes (for you and the baby) and the overall experience.
Birth Doula support has been associated with a higher chance of spontaneous vaginal birth and a positive birthing experience.
If an in-person birth doula doesn't feel right or isn't possible for you right now, virtual doula support has been shown to be as effective.
Virtual birth doula support is great if you are too busy to attend in-person appointments, have other children or simply prefer to communicate virtually.
